Throughout my eclectic career, the love of words has dominated. A proud graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia, School of Journalism, I began my professional life as a copy editor and section editor for daily newspapers in the Midwest and MidSouth. As a new mother, I immersed myself in child development books, and learned much through my friends in La Leche League and other parent-to-parent support. This passion led me to complete a master’s of science degree in family studies from Wheelock College, Boston, and to launch a freelance business in parent education.

In 2009, I launched my freelance editorial business, Wordsworth Editorial Services. Through Wordsworth, I provide excellent copy editing, copy writing, and proofreading services. In addition, I help clients to write and self-publish there personal histories, family stories, and memoirs in keepsake books as a legacy for future generations. Now, happily ensconced in Southern California, I have pursed many paths, always working with words and communication. My work has included designing and presenting parent education seminars, staff development, public speaking, publications management, parent education brochures and newsletters, child care resource and referral management, and directing community-based initiatives to improve the quality of early childhood care and education programs.
